August 4, 2025
Ryan St will be closed north of Weston Ave the week of 8/4 to get the sanitary sewer, watermain and storm sewer installed across Ryan St. Sanitary sewer work east of Heeren St towards Ryan St will continue. The base between Von Kanel and Heeren will be regraded and prepped for paving which is tentatively scheduled for later in the week.

Road building from Von Kanel to Heeren St to continue along with sanitary sewer installation resuming east of Heeren St. There is roughly 250 feet of road left to build to get through the Heeren intersection.

Sanitary sewer work to continue east of Heeren St as well as working on sewer stubs south of Heeren. A second crew will start on watermain at Von Kanel and installtowards Heeren. Later in the week work on the culverts at the Von Kanel intersection is to begin.

Grading crew worked on cleaning out the pond at Von Kanel and Weston Ave as well as the pond at Lindenwood Ct and Weston Ave. Crew also was working on cleaning up the north ditch line from Von Kanel heading towards Heeren St.

Sanitary sewer installation should be completed through the Heeren St intersection. The crew will then move back to the Von Kanel St intersection and work on watermain by the mid-later part of the week.

Sanitary sewer installation starting at Von Kanel St heading east towards Heeren St continues. Tree clearing and erosion control installation to be done as well.
APRIL 14, 2025
Construction activities will be starting back up in full force the week of April 21, 2025. This week prior the utility companies will be nearing completion with their facility relocations. Temporary mailbox locations will be setup and some erosion control measures will be installed. Then starting the week of 4/21, sanitary sewer installation at the Von Kanel and Weston Ave intersection will begin and work on the sewer installation will progress east towards Heeren St.
NOVEMBER 18, 2024
The Contractor is finishing placement of gravel along the shoulders and restoration of the remaining disturbed areas outside the street. Work along the street is planned to be completed by mid-week and the street reopened to traffic.
Please continue to follow the posted traffic control and detour signs until they are taken down.
NOVEMBER 11, 2024
Weather pending, the Contractor plans to finish up restoration of the disturbed areas outside the street and pavement marking is planned to be completed this week. Once work along the street is complete, the traffic control and detour will be removed.
Traffic control and detour signs will continue to be in operation as the street will be closed to through traffic.
NOVEMBER 4, 2024
Weather pending, the Contractor plans to finish up restoration of the disturbed areas outside the street yet this week with the final layer of asphalt planned for later this week. Pavement marking could potentially be completed yet this week or in the coming weeks.
Traffic control and detour signs will continue to be in operation as the street will be closed to through traffic.
OCTOBER 28, 2024
Weather pending, the Contractor plans to finish up the street reconstruction project this week. Remaining work includes utility adjustments, paving the surface layer of asphalt, and pavement marking the street.

OCTOBER 21, 2024
The concrete that was placed last week required a week of curing before equipment could begin working around it for asphalt paving. Asphalt paving is planned to begin late this week.

OCTOBER 14, 2024
The Contractor will start on placing new concrete along Weston Avenue between Camp Phillips Road (CR-X) and Von Kanel Street. New utilities are also getting installed on the east end of the Weston Avenue corridor between Progress Way and west of CR-J. These utilities will be constructed between Weston Avenue and STH 29.
Traffic control and detour signs will continue to be in operation as the street will be closed to through traffic.
OCTOBER 7, 2024
The Contractor has completed road grading and placement/compaction of base aggregate along Weston Avenue from Camp Phillips Road (CR-X) up to the east side of Von Kanel Street.
Traffic control and detour signs will continue to be in operation as the street will be closed to through traffic.
SEPTEMBER 30, 2024
The Contractor continues to work on grading the new road along Weston Avenue between Camp Phillips Road (CR-X) and Von Kanel Street.

The Contractor has finished grading the stormwater pond at the intersection of Camp Phillips Road (CR-X) and Weston Avenue and at Von Kanel Street and Weston Avenue. The Contractor has begun grading operations to change the Weston Avenue roadway between Camp Phillips Road (CR-X) and Von Kanel Street to the finished roadway cross section.

SEPTEMBER 16, 2024
Pavement removal occurred this past week and the Contractor has begun excavation for the stormwater pond at the intersection of Camp Phillips Road (CR-X) and Weston Avenue.

Tree clearing, grubbing, and removals will continue for most of this week with roadway work beginning later in the week.

Weston Avenue Reconstruction project begins. Contractor will be mobilizing equipment and materials to the project area and begin clearing, grubbing, and removals. Traffic control and detour signs will be installed as the street will be closed to through traffic.
