Food Waste/Yard Waste Recycling

It seems far away now, but yard work, gardening, and cookouts are just around the corner! The Village will be releasing spring yard materials collection dates soon, but did you know Hsu Growing Supply (HGS) offers year-round residential food waste/yard waste collection services for a low price.

We have had residents recently ask about food waste/yard recycling, thus we wanted to share the possible option. Residents can put grass clippings, leaves, and food waste into a bin, provided by HGS, and HGS will collect. You can even share the bin with your neighor(s). If you are interested in learning more, or receiving this type of service, please visit their website. 30-40% of garbage consists of organic material - diverting organic waste extends the life our Marathon County landfill and provides composted materials available for reuse!

Dine for a Cause. Join us and dine out; 20% of sales will be donated to the Kennedy Park Renovation Project. The Kennedy Park Project is a collaboration between the Village of Weston Parks & Recreation Committee/Department, the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin, D.C. Everest Youth Baseball, JV Baseball, Everest Fastpitch, JV Softball, and Everest Youth Hockey. The plans include five baseball/softball fields, hockey rink for outdoor skating, walking paths, concession stand, updated shade areas, playground equipment and green space.
