Shorey Ave Update

Shorey Avenue is still closed, except for local residential traffic. The Village of Weston Public Works Department is requesting that no commercial trucks over 8 tons use the road until all paving is completed by next week.

At the Board Meeting on 9/15/2025, Mark Kern was sworn in as the newest Village of Weston Trustee. Welcome Trustee Kern!

The 2025 Fall Yard Pickup is scheduled for the months of October and November, 2025.

Materials MUST be out to the roadside by 7 AM on the scheduled day of pickup. Please click on the map above to see what dates pickup will occur in your neighborhood.

A special event permit has been issued by the Village of Weston to the Everest Dance Association for their event which will be held on September 20 and 21, 2025.

3. Click "E-Notifications"
4. Type your email in the box and select "Sign In"
5. If you want to text messages also, enter your phone number and click "save"
6. Scroll down and click the envelope or phone icon or both for whatever you would like to receive.
7. Click "Save"
8. Don't forget to reply to the email and text message confirmation you will receive to confirm you want to be signed up.

Updates for current roadway projects:

Schofield Ave (Normandy St to Birch St):
- Week of 9/15: Continue working on street grading, traffic signals and concrete work along the eastbound lanes.

-Week of 9/22: Continue with concrete work, road grading if needed, traffic signals and potentially restoration.

Weston Ave (CR-X to Ryan St):
- Week of 9/15: Rock blasting was completed this past week and sanitary sewer installation will continue east of Lindenwood Ct. Water and sewer service lateral installation as well as storm sewer installation between the high lines and roughly Lindenwood Ct will continue. A Grading crew will be working between Heeren St and the ATC powerlines.

- Week of 9/22: Sewer and water installation will continue, possibly starting back at Ryan St and heading west if mainline sewer gets completed the week of 9/15. Road building will continue following utility installation.

Fuller St:
- Week of 9/15: North of Thomas Ave the crew will be working on restoration of grass areas. Then between Schofield Ave and Meridian, roadway will be getting prepped for curb and gutter. From Meridian north watermain and storm sewer installation will continue. Pond excavation work will be ongoing at Kellyland Park as well.

- Week of 9/22: Curb is expected to be poured from Schofield Ave to Meridian along with the concrete pavement section off of Schofield Ave. Note, Schofield Ave at Fuller St will likely be closed this week. Any remaining watermain and storm sewer work from Meridian to Rogan will be completed. Continued excavation for the storm pond at Kellyland Park will continue as well. The week of 9/29 should see the first layer of asphalt then from Thomas Ave to Ross Ave and pipe work starting on Rogan Ln.

Business Park Paving (Commerce Dr and Ryan St):
- Week of 9/15: Paving of Commerce Dr from Ryan St to Rickyval St should be completed and paving of the first layer of asphalt on Ryan St is planned.

- Week of 9/22: Finish paving Ryan St and then move to the streets around the Hospital.

Asphalt Overlay Projects:
Asphalt overlays are planned for the below streets. Crews have or will be completing prep work ahead of the overlay paving which includes adjusting all manholes and water valves within the pavement as well as milling along the curb lines or driveways. Paving of these areas is anticipated to be the week of 9/15.
