Budget Public Hearing Notice

On Monday October 20th the Village of Weston Board approved the 2026 budget public hearing notice that will get published in the newspaper. The General Fund has a proposed expenditure budget of $9.67M, an increase of 2.65% from 2025. Public safety has the largest increase at $294,806. Because of some adjustments done at the state level the Village is looking at a tax rate decrease of 29 cents for a total tax rate of $5.60/1000 (Village only). Included in the proposed budget is a fee increase for refuse and recycling, that fee is increasing from $167.00 to $205.50, reflecting a contract increase.
