PFAS Treatment Project

The permanent PFAS Treatment system for Wells 3 and 4 has been installed and Well 4 has again begun pumping water to the water system as of October 24, 2025. A Granular Activated Carbon system was installed at the Water Treatment Plant over the past year which removes PFAS from the water pumped out of the ground from Well 4. This project received funding through the Safe Drinking Water Loan Program which includes 50% in principal forgiveness. Thus, the $1,815,900 construction project will end up costing the water utility $907,950. This project will ensure high quality drinking water for Weston Water Utility customers for many years to come.

Mountain Bay Metro Police Department provides a service to the community by patrolling residential areas if a homeowner is out of town during the winter months. To request this service, simply call the non-emergency number at 715-359-3333 or stop in at 211 Grand Avenue, Rothschild to set up this service.

The Patriot Avenue of Honor is coming to Weston! All area protective service people are invited to be recognized alongside other veterans in the community. The banners will be displayed on Schofield Ave, and are currently $395 until February 2/28/2026. For more information, go to the link below:

Updates for current roadway projects:

Schofield Ave (Normandy St to Birch St):
- Week of 11/3: Pavement markings and remaining restoration items to be completed.

Weston Ave (CR-X to Ryan St):
- Week of 11/3: Paving of the road Monday and Tuesday from Von Kanel to Ryan St, then paving the final layer later in the week.

- Week of 11/10: Restoration, pavement markings and other outstanding items.

Fuller St:
- Week of 11/3: Asphalt paving to be completed on Fuller and all side streets. Paving of asphalt driveways to be completed as well. Seeding and restoration to be done too.

- Week of 11/10: Complete other outstanding items.

Hospital Area Paving:
- Week of 11/3: Pulverizing and paving of Weston Ave from Birch St to CR-X.

- Week of 11/10: Finish Weston Ave and work on Birch St.
