Results of 2021 America Recycles Day Contest

Due to COVID-19, our typical spring and fall waste audits did not occur.  Once again, as a way to continue to promote recycling and recycling right, the Village of Weston partnered up again with Marathon County Solid Waste and Recycling Connections to hold a 2nd annual America Recycles Day Recycling Contest.  This contest ran the entire month of NOvember, ending on December 6th.  We asked the community to take a picture of their recyclables within thier recycling cart and e-mail or mail them in.  All of those who participated (26 households) got their names put in a drawing for 1 of 5 $25.00 gift cards, along with the grand prize - a 50" TV!

The lucky winner of the TV was Debbie Dahlke! Congratulations to her and the gift card winners. We hope this acts as an incentive to continue recycling right, and to receive more participation in this contest next year.
