Camp Phillips Road Corridor Plan

About the CPC Plan
The CPC Plan is a Corridor Study of Camp Phillips Road from Ross Avenue to Weston Avenue. The purpose of this planning effort is to:
  • Address change in Camp Phillips Road traffic and function
  • Enhance economic development and grow tax base
  • Increase commercial services, retail, and restaurants
  • Ensure appropriate transitions to neighborhoods
  • Improve appearance & sense of place at Weston's front door
  • Serve as a detailed component of Village Comprehensive Plan
  • Provide blueprint for future (re)development, including zoning decisions and public investments
The Village also recently began to work on a more in depth Neighborhood Plan for the Camp Phillips Road/State Highway 29 Interchange area being referred to as the Camp Phillips @ 29 Neighborhood Plan. A Public Engagement Session was held on December 14, 2015 by the project consultant, JSD Professional Services, Inc. The same evening JSD presented a preliminary plan to the Plan Commission, Community Development Authority and Village Board at joint meeting of these bodies.

This video was presented to the community at an Open House held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 and provides a look at the potential future plans for the corridor. Public comments received at the Open House and through the Citizen Feedback Form portal will be used to make Plan modifications over the coming months and another Open House will be scheduled prior to Plan adoption.

Public Feedback Opportunities
This Plan is currently in draft form. Over the next few weeks we would like to hear your thoughts on the proposed future plans for this corridor. Please provide any comments, concerns and other feedback you may have after viewing the above presentation through the Citizen Feedback Form portal. The portal will be available until mid-August. We need your input to create a viable plan that everyone can stand behind.
